Chun Zhao is a professor of Program of Atmospheric Sciences in the University of Science and Technology of China. He obtained Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences from Georgia Institute of Technology. He works on the development and application of atmospheric model with focus on the interactions between multiple-scale atmospheric processes including aerosol and regional weather and climate, convection and circulation systems. Till 2023, he has published over 110 refereed scientific articles with H-index of 42. He currently serves as the Editor of Adv. Atmos. Sci. (AAS), the Associate Editor of JGR-Atmosphere and J. Adv. Mod. Earth Sys., the Editorial Board Member of Environ. Res. Comm., the Member of IGAC China Working Group Young Scientist Committee. He received the Glen Cass award of Georgia Tech., Exceptional Contribution award of U.S.A DOE National Lab, “Qiushi” Excellent Young Scholar award of China, Young Faculty Career Award of USTC Alumni Foundation and so on.
