Achievements |
| The flammability of sulfur containing species represents major fire risk in industry process. My research focuses on the combustion kinetics of reduced sulfur species and their interactions with hydrocarbons, including: ① Explain the extraordinary low ignition temperature of sulfur containing species by introducing intersystem crossing process in oxidation reactions; ② Realizing high accuracy modelling of sulfur species oxidation by constructing the detailed combustion mechanism; ③ Provide scientific support to impurity standard of commercial natural gas by revealing how sulfur containing species lower the ignition temperature of methane. The candidate has published 11 SCI journal articles with 7 of them as first author. The first author articles are published on prestigious journals such as Combust. Flame (1), Proc. Combust. Inst. (1), Fire Saf. J. (2). These journal articles have been other-cited in SCI for 36 times and the H factor is 5. Based on previous researches, the candidate proposes to investigate the combustion kinetics of the extremely flammable chemicals (sulfur or nitrogen containing) and their pollutants in fire scenario. This research will provide scientific support in reducing fire disasters and managing fire pollutants.
