Abstract: Poly (acrylic acid) (PAA) and polyacrylamide (PAM)/graphite oxide (GO) nanocomposites were prepared by in-situ polymerization method and characterized by X-ray Diffraction, High-Resolution Electron Microscope (HREM) and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectra (FTIR). The results show that chemical reaction can take place between polymer and graphite oxide, and the polymerization process changes the orientation of the intercalated molecules.
