Achievements

Prof. Wang has been working on the safe application of energy and the fire dynamics in industry. His contributions mainly include: (1) discovered the thermal decompositions mechanism of several key lithium ion battery materials; (2) proposed the thermal runaway mechanism of lithium ion battery; (3) proposed the safer lithium ion battery electrolyte additive; (4) developed the fire detection and fire suppression technologies; (5) developed the assessment method to predict the spontaneous combustion; and (6) developed the 3D finite element code to simulate the glass crack and propagation.

In recent years, Prof. Wang has presided one project supported by the National Key R&D Program of China, a key project supported by the Civil Aviation Joint Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, two general projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Special Foundation of President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Natural Science Foundation of the Higher Education Institutions of Anhui Province and more. Prof. Wang is the researcher in the Marie Curie actions, supported by EUROPEAN COMMISSION 6th Framework Programme.

Besides, Prof. Wang has published more than 200 journal and conference papers, of which more 160 were indexed SCI. His work published in Progress in Energy and Combustion Science, Energy Storage Materials, Nano Energy and other international journals. His papers have been cited more than 9000 times by now. He also published 7 cooperative books and invented 24 patents. Prof. Wang also acts as a guests of Fire Technology, Journal of Loss Prevention in the Process Industries and so on.
