Abstract: By intervening the crystal growth process of metallic nickel in a solution system with sonication or not, dispersed prickly nickel microspheres were selectively assembled into reticular microwires. The structure details, morphological evolution and magnetic properties of the dispersed microspheres and assembly microwires of nickel were investigated. Based on contrast experimental results, the possible assembly/disassembly mechanism of prickly nickel microspheres was proposed. (C) 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
