Abstract: Nanocomposite of gamma-zirconium phosphate (gamma-ZrP) absorbed and intercalated by polyaniline that incorporated amorphous Cu2O and nanocrystalline CuO was synthesized by sonochemical method. Cu2+ was preintercalated into gamma-ZrP to form layered - gamma-CuZrP host that provided a template of polymerization of aniline. X-ray diffraction in low angles for the nanocomposite indicates intercalation of doped polyaniline in gamma-ZrP. The nanocomposite was also characterized by TEM, FTIR, UV-VIS spectrum of and TG-DTA.
