Project Period: 2010.1-2012.12
Abstract:Super high-rise building have some characteristics of complex construction, high occupants density and long travel distance, etc. Especially for evacuation in the vertical direction, it involves a complex set of behaviours which need to be considered including accumulation phenomenon at the bottom of the stairs, the merging behaviour at the floor-stair interface, turning behavior at platform, etc. In addition, another issue about how to set shelter floor properly and design evacuation indicator system reasonably in high-rise building is also worth studying. In this project, computer simulation, evacuation drill, questionnaire survey and crowd movement analysis in real-life situation, etc. are used as research methods. And some other fields concerned are introduce to the project process such as management science, physics, psychology, information theory, fire science, social science and so on. The major objective of this project is to investigate evacuation dynamical characteristic on staircases, multiple speed evacuation considering particular persons or groups and evacuation strategy for large group. On those bases the model of crowd evacuation in super high-rise building will be eatablished. The results of these studies can provide a theoretical foundation for high-rise building design standard and emergency management measure, and scientific references for non-conventional emergency in super high-rise building .
