Prof. Hou has been awarded a research grant supported by Chinese Academy of Sciences and started his career in USTC since 2024. In 2024, he was named as “Outstanding Young Scholar” awarded by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and got promoted to a professor position. He has been focusing on flame-retardant polymer composites and additive manufacturing over the past years, including efficient flame retardants (MOFs, nanosheets, nanotubes, etc.), advanced manufacturing techniques (MJF, DLP, SLA, DIW, etc.), and stimulation (temperature, strain, humidity, etc.) response materials. Prof. Hou has co-authored over 60 journal papers (including 34 papers as the first/corresponding author) and been invited to report his research in ICMAT, SRIS, and several other international conferences.
