Achievements

Prof. Wei has accumulated an outstanding academic record in studying risk analysis and organizational strategies of risk responses. Since 2009, as the first or corresponding author, he has more than 60 peer-reviewed articles published or accepted for publication in highly regarded international scholarly journals, including Strategic Management Journal (one of the top-tier journals in Management), Risk Analysis, and Disasters. His case study on risk management has been accepted into the IVEY case database.

In 2015, he supported by the Excellent Young Scientists Fund from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). So far, he has successfully led 6 academic projects funded by NSFC and other national foundations. In 2016, he won the First Prize of the Colleges and Universities’ Outstanding Scientific Achievement Award (in natural science) from the Ministry of Education of China. Currently, he participates in international collaborations as a delegate appointed by various branches of the Chinese government. He serves as a committee member of the China Society of Emergency Management, and as an editorial board member of three international journals.
