Achievements |
| Prof. Ting Si is a full professor in University of Science and Technology of China, with research interests including turbulent mixing and turbulent combustion, microencapsulation for fire extinction and combustion, high-velocity aerodynamics, experimental fluid mechanics, microfluidics and nanofluidics. He has invented a series of new techniques for microencapsulation of various materials that can be potentially used for fire safety, advanced materials and biomedical applications. His investigations have acquired the support of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Youth Innovation Promotion Association CAS, Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities of China, respectively. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed journal papers. Prof. Si is a young researcher with strong engineering background and unique technical expertise in fluid mechanics. He is also highly motivated to apply his engineering skills to different fields of practical applications. He works with collaboration of scientists with strong interest in physics and engineering, so that he can speed up his research and work towards translation from the lab to the industry.
